Descrição
I designed this keyboard case for fun, after posting it on reddit it many people asked me to share the 3D files so here you go.
Let's call this a beta, it's not “production ready”, the switches don't fit very easily in the holes, I had to file them a little bit to make them fit.
I print it with PLA at 0.2 layer height, 0.4 nozzle, 25% infill, support ON
I don't suggest PETG, it might come out not stiff enough
To build this keyboard you will need:
- 2 Arduino pro micros
- 56 ks-27 or kailh choc switches
- 58 diodes
- 2 of the shortest EC11 style encoder you can find (I used "HOY21406")
- 2 SSD1306 oled displays
- 2 2.5mm TRRS jacks (I used PJ218A but you might be able to fit slightly bigger ones)
- 1 usb c (usb 2.0) breakout board not bigger than 12x15mm (this ones fit perfectly)
- 1 sacrificial usb micro-b cable (unfortunately the main pro micro needs to be connected trough the usb port, there's no other way)
- 16 m2.5x4x3.5 brass knurls
- 16 m2.5x5 screws
- a hot glue gun and a good soldering iron
- at least 4 hours of time
You will need to use some hot glue to fix the display, the trrs jack and the usb c connector, if you want later to remove those parts from the board you can simply warm up the glue with a hot air gun and it will be free
If you have any suggestions feel free to share! I might also accept requests for variations
Custom palmrest coming soon.
