I designed this holder specifically for a BNTECHGO 100ft roll of 22 gauge wire. Any spool with an overall length of 60mm should work though.
It is based upon Zack Freedman's gridfinity system. If you aren't familiar with that I would highly suggest giving it a look. It is just plain great.
The 14mm rod is held in just by friction and I have had no issues with it falling out. I may go back and revisit this if I start noticing it loosening up over time.
You also may need to ream out the guide hole depending on the gauge wire you are using as well as your printers overhang capabilities.
Has also been reported to work with 1lb (.45kg) roll of Kester solder (thanks benattar!)
This is the exact spool of wire I designed this around - [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XWDWVBL?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XWDWVBL?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details)
