Rods I used are 7mm aluminum bar stock, which is easily found in any metal supplier shop, the threaded rods are 3/16 inch. the build plate should be a 1/8 acrylic sheet and the idea was to use double side tape to stick to the printed bearings and Y carriage block which I have not designed yet. also the X carriage will be a two part so it could easily be swapped for a pen or a laser or a small drill with servo.
