A magnetic push pin for holding notes/papers to refrigerators, whiteboards, or any other magnetic surface.

I have created two versions of this model based on two different sized magnets. The small version uses a Magcraft P/N: NSN0601/N40 disc magnet and the large version uses a Magcraft P/N: NSN0573/N40 disc magnet.

The models are sliced with a 0.2mm layer height and there is a print pause included in the g-code at the appropriate layer height in order to facilitate magnet insertion. They print without support. The magnet should take a somewhat firm press with a finger to get it seated in the pocket; it should be snug, but should fit. I used just a little bit more clearance on this design than I did on my Fish Refrigerator Magnet, so the magnet is a bit easier to get seated in the pocket, but still fits securely without any extra wiggle room.

I have included the Fusion 360 (.f3d) file for those of you who already have disc magnets of different dimensions on hand and would like to use those instead. Simply change the “MagnetDiameter” and “MagnetThickness” parameters to those of your magnet (I recommend measuring with a caliper). I used an equation to scale the push pin body based off the dimensions of the magnet, so the size of the push pin should adjust accordingly when you update the magnet dimensions, however if you get some wonky results or just want to play with the scale, feel free to tinker with the “ScaleFactor” parameter.
