Descrição
My daughter asked me to make a bee shaped cookie cutter for her friend. With the help of the Customizer for cookie cutter, and a little processing with Paint.net and Tinkercad I put these three cutters together.
Original Bumblebeeee image is based on an Icon made by Freepik from www.flaticon.comand is licensed by CC 3.0 BY
How I Designed This
I downloaded the svg from Flaticon and loaded it into Inkscape.
I exported a png image that was 1000x1000 pixels.
I copied the image in Paint.net, and filled in all of the inside gaps, so that I had one copy that was only an outline and one copy that was the original image
I resized both copies to 100X100.
I used the Customizer at [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:116582](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:116582) to make two stl files, one for each copy of the image.
For the Outline only:
I imported the outline stl into Tinkercad
I resized it to the size I wanted, with a height of 20 mm
I added three braces to the back to reinforce and connect all of the pieces.
I added a few small cylinders to clean up loose and disconnected sections
I then Grouped the parts together and exported the completed stl
For the Full Line Print, I imported the second stl into Tinkercad, but with an height of 16 mm
I resized it to make sure it was the same base as the Outline part,
I then used the Alignment tool to make sure it was centered with the Outline Part
The parts were grouped together and exported as a completed stl.
For the Hexagonal cookie cutter:
I imported the original svg into Tinkercad
I set the height to 16 mm
I made a hexagonal shape, and set it for 1.6 mm height
I put the Bumblebee shape and the hexagon together (by hand) and grouped them into one piece.
I made a second hexagonal piece that was 20mm high and was 4 mm larger in both length and width from the first hexagonal piece.
I made a third hexagonal piece that was 20 mm high, and the same size as the first hexagonal piece.
I changed the material from solid to hole on the third hexagon
I used the alignment tool to center the second and third hexagons together with the same center point.
I grouped the second and third hexagon, so that only a shell was left for the remaining piece.
I used the alignment tool to center the shell and the piece with the bumblebee shape together.
I then grouped the parts together and exported the completed stl.
