his is a simple round coin box I designed for my mom to keep loose change in one place.

The box features a printed three-piece hinge that is assembled using a short piece of standard 1.75 mm filament as the hinge pin. No screws or additional hardware are required.

The design went through several iterations before arriving at this version. The hinge was redesigned with reinforced supports to improve strength and durability while keeping the assembly simple.

Although designed as a coin box, it is also suitable for storing:

• Loose change

• Small electronic components

• SD cards

• Buttons

• Sewing accessories

• Small hardware

• Jewelry and trinkets

Assembly

• Print the lid and box separately.

• Cut a short piece of 1.75 mm filament.

• Insert it through the hinge barrels.

• Trim the filament flush or secure it with a small printed stopper or a drop of glue if desired.

No supports are required.
