I was tired of the cheap towel hooks in my apartment that couldn't hold anything. Our heavy bath towels kept constantly sliding off and ending up on the floor. I needed a reliable solution, but I didn't want to drill into the walls. That is why I designed this simple, functional, and secure towel hook that mounts easily with heavy-duty double-sided tape!
I also designed it with a hexagonal base because it matches the hex tiles in my bathroom perfectly and looks super stylish.
It prints as a single piece and requires absolutely zero supports. It easily holds even the largest bath towels (like giant 90x150 cm sheets) without any issues.
Print Settings:
Supports: No (100% support-free design)
Material: PETG highly recommended (for maximum strength, durability, and humidity resistance in the bathroom)
Printing Temperature: Use a slightly higher nozzle temperature than usual to ensure excellent layer adhesion and maximum part strength.
Walls / Perimeters: 3-4 perimeters recommended for extra rigidity
Top/Bottom Thickness: 1.2mm or thicker (to ensure a solid and strong structure)
Infill: 20-25% (Gyroid or Grid)
Standard Settings: Works perfectly with a 0.2mm layer height
Mounting Tip:
For the best results, use a strong, clear double-sided mounting tape (like heavy-duty acrylic tape). Make sure to clean and degrease both the back of the hook and the wall surface before applying the tape!
