Descrição
General
The Taurozzi engine, patented by Argentine engineer Eduardo Taurozzi in 1974, is an innovative internal combustion swing-piston engine that features a curved, toroidal cylinder and hook-shaped pistons. Designed to eliminate the lateral friction found in conventional reciprocating engines, it aims to reduce fuel consumption by up to 30% and minimize emission.
While the Taurozzi engine remains a fascinating concept in automotive history and is often discussed in engineering circles for its bold departure from traditional designs, it has never been widely adopted. Modern engine advancements have largely addressed the efficiency gaps the Taurozzi engine sought to solve in the 1970s.
Dimensions: 143 x 62 x 119 mm.
Weight: 0.07 kg.
Printing
Print one or two V2 engines.
Minimum build plate 180 x 180 mm.
I printed with PLA+, 0.16 mm layer height.
Avoid elephant feet and over extrusion.
No problem to upscale to 133% (tested).
Assembly
The attached pictures show all assembly steps. Assembly is in alphabetical order of the stl-file-name.
Make a four cylinder engine by printing a second engine and join the two engines using the "Engines Connection Set.stl". Choose the crankshaft offset before glueing.

Operation
Turn the "Cranked Handle".
