Bone Folder Set

This is a set of tools to help get crisp, consistent, and straight folds on paper or card stock. Ideal for any scrapbooking, paper modeling, origami, or bookmaking projects.

• Classic Bone Folder: Helps you crease, mark, and crisp up folds on paper.

• Straight Edge Bone Folder: Helps you to get very straight and consistent folds.

Printing Tips

These are the printing parameters I used on a Creality Ender 3 Max. These are by no means prescriptive and you should tailor them to your printer, but they are a great starting point. I recommend using PETG, though I don't see any problem with using PLA besides it possibly being a bit less smooth and harder to sand in the post-processing steps.

• Material: PETG

• Bed Temp.: 70°C

• Layer Height: 0.2mm

• Perimeters: >4 (I used 5)

• Infill: >60% (I used 75% Honeycomb)

• Top/Bottom Fill Pattern: Concentric

• Adhesion: Use a brim to prevent warping

Note: I used very high infill and perimeters to get a more solid and premium tool feel, but you can lower them a bit without any issues. Just expect a lighter and maybe less rigid tool in the end.

Post-Processing

Remove the brim and do some light sanding to remove any burrs or imperfections. Be careful while sanding the Straight Edge Bone Folder to ensure you don’t introduce any variation on the straight sides, as this may then affect your folds. Then you're done and can start using your new tools on any paper craft project you're working on.
