I needed to be able to hang string lights from a drop ceiling in a rental facility that absolutely did not allow "anything to be attached to the wall or ceiling". 
Game on!
I designed these simple clips to clip onto the standard drop ceiling grid. No removal of tiles necessary, you don't even have to touch the tiles. They have enough droop to hold larger string lights. These worked perfectly.
