This model was sliced to fit a Bambu labs X1C so the quadrants are sliced to fit within a 256x256x256 build volume.
Recommended Print material: PLA
I recommend PLA here because this is supposed to be a consumable mold and the PLA burns out rather well for the first firing. Not to mention it makes it easy to remove from the plaster on the outside.
All of the pieces require some form of support material due to the overall design of the part but luckily it's a rather sparse print overall.
I've been able to successfully melt copper in this setup and a lid is currently in the works, but as of right now I don't think it's necessary with the internal shape being designed to hold the flame and heat in against the crucible as much as possible.
This foundry can accept a standard #0-#6 crucible without issues. However I find the best performance with a #4 or #5 crucible myself.
When assembling the mold since the corners are flat you should use some sort of sacrificial tape to keep the mold together while it sets (plaster is especially viscous if you mix it right so don't worry about it leaking.
Wait for the plaster to set and get firm for about a day before pulling the plastic off, it should be to the point where it's soft enough to peel the outside off if it ends up leaking to the infill. However once its set you can put the whole thing into a campfire if you want to burn the entire mold away. I put a few sticks in the center myself and had a small foundry session to burn the inside out.
Have fun!
