These stackable sorting trays are designed as simple, practical containers for organizing small items on a desk, in a workshop, or next to a 3D printer.

The design focuses on printability and usability. Each tray prints directly on the build plate with no supports, and stacking is achieved using small pins located on the four top corners.

Matching negative sockets are integrated into the base of the tray, allowing multiple trays to stack neatly and stay aligned.

These trays are useful for organizing:

• screws and bolts

• electronic components

• 3D printing hardware (nozzles, fittings, inserts)

• small hobby parts

• workshop consumables

They also work well as temporary sorting trays during assembly projects.

Note that the stacking pins are designed to align trays rather than lock them together, allowing quick access and easy rearrangement of stacks.

Two tray heights are provided, making them useful for organizing small parts, screws, electronics components, or hobby supplies. Both share the same footprint and stacking interface, so they can be mixed freely in a stack.

Printing

Recommended settings (tested in PLA):

• Layer height: 0.2 mm

• Supports: Not required

• Infill: 15–20%

• Orientation: Flat on the build plate

• Material: PLA or PETG

Because the geometry is simple, the model should print reliably on most FDM printers.
