When I first got my P1P I tried to make a Print-in-place chain just to teach myself the technique, but it was too difficult at the time. Now two years later I stumbled across @ThorinOakenshield's chain model in the recent uploads. It was very similar to the design I had attempted so I printed one out. I was so impressed that I decided to go back to my old model and see if I could remake it with all the knowledge I had learned in the last two years.

I used precise hexagonal geometry to improve the overall structure and strength, along with making a few strategic chamfers to lower friction and reduce bridging errors.

Once it had a prototype link set I started thinking, why not just arrange the links in a circle every 10 degrees and make a continuous loop that would take advantage of the entire build plate? Lucky for me I had based the link design around 1/4 modules so it was fairly easy to make small adjustments that would change all interlocking dimensions at the same time. This made it simple to ensure that no geometry was intersecting.

It doesn't print so well without a brim, but I did not find the brim to be particularly problematic.
