Mini Hydroponic Seedling Maker 🌱

This compact seedling holder is designed for starting seeds hydroponically in small glass cups or jars. It securely holds cotton plugs (or similar soft growing media) above water level, making it perfect for small-scale indoor growing using the Kratky method.

Ideal for:

  • Lettuce (oak leaf, butterhead, etc.)

  • Rucola

  • Herbs (basil, mint, parsley)

  • Microgreens

  • Experimental hydroponics setups

🖨 Print Settings

  • Layer height: 0.2mm

  • Infill: 15–25%

  • Material: PLA recommended

  • No supports needed

  • Print time: ~20 minutes (depending on size)


🌊 How to Use

  1. Fill your glass container with water (optionally add nutrients later).

  2. Insert cotton or growing plugs into the 3 openings.

  3. Place 2–4 seeds per plug.

  4. Keep cotton moist (not soaked).

  5. Once roots appear, make sure they can reach the water.

  6. Add light and let them grow 🌱

For early germination, nutrients are not required. Add light nutrients only after true leaves appear.


💡 Tips

  • Keep pH between 5.5–6.5 for best hydroponic results.

  • Do not let plugs dry out during germination.

  • Works great under LED grow lights.

  • Perfect for small-space growing or testing seeds.
