Descrição
This is not a whole vice build these are add ons for a bench vice.
2 x 200 mm long grip rails. Simple to design made with 3 countersunk screw holes as an option.
Photo shows 1 screw loosly fitted. I would need smaller screws. Though i intend to superglue these to the Plywood.
The wheel handle is particuly nice to use. 4 openings make it easy to put a finger inside and wind it quickly. 100mm x 100mm diameter.
Or at tightening point can hold the whole wheel.
Construction materials.
2 x 200mm by 100mm 18mm thick plywood pieces.
2 x 1/2 wood dowl - though metal poles would be better as they wont rub, swell or splinter the same.
1 x 8mm or whatever thickness threaded rod you have access too. Suggest no thinner than 8mm as you will be exerting pressure on it. Coasre thread also recommended.
Cut dowel to the desired max openning length and rod a bit longer so it sticks out the back and front enough for your turn wheel.
A number of bolts and washers are needed to set placement for the front and rear sections.
The rear bolt must have a fixed position for the thread to flow in and out to open and close the vice.
I intend to tweek my vice and have the bolt inside the wood so it wont come loose.
