Descrição
This is a Python script that generates lamp shades based on wave interference patterns. Currently support 4 wave forms (sine, triangle, saw tooth, square). It will generate the STL file that you can directly import into your slicer and print it in vase mode. I found that the line width between 0.6 and 0.8 gave good results.
The scripts are in the lamp_generator.zip. You might want to create a virtual environment, and run pip to get the required libraries. To run it, just call it without any command line parameter.
You can try different configurations and see how the shade looks like. The parameters are self-explanatory except num_theta_points and num_z_points, which defines the resolution of the STL.

The leg in the photo is not included because it is not working well. It deformed the shade quite a bit. I will be thrilled if someone create the remixes with good legs. If you have good combination of the config parameters, do post the image your lamp.
Note that the license for the STL files in this post is Creative Commons Attribution. The license for the Python script is MIT (so it matches the license used in my Github repo).
Any STL file you generate with this script is yours.
