Modular Stackable Embroidery Thread Spool Organizer/Box/Tower

A modular, stackable thread spool storage system. Each tray is printed as a single piece and can be stacked in any order to build a neat tower of cases. I designed this for my wife’s sewing/embroidery spools.

What’s included / variants

Tray for 1000 m spools: 4 × 5 spools (20 total)
Tray for 400 m spools: 5 × 6 spools (30 total)
Tray for 200 m spools: 3 × 10 spools (30 total)
Optional cover frame (“lip”): a slim finishing piece for the top of your stack

All trays share the same outer size, so you can mix & match (e.g., 1000 m tray + 400 m tray + 200 m tray) and stack them freely.

Compatibility note

Designed primarily around the dimensions of Madeira spools. From what I’ve seen, it should also work well with many other common thread spools, but sizes can vary between brands and regions. If you run into any fit issues, feel free to contact me and I’ll help you troubleshoot (or adjust the design).
