Descrição
General
Use this to store thread spools on your Wall Control pegboard. There are two versions of this model:
Tilt arrester on both sides - I prefer this one. It requires assembly but that's just sticking the little peg in on the back side of the model so that it can't tilt when installed.
Tilt arrester on only one side - No fiddly assembly. Don't have to worry about tolerances or anything. EZ-PZ. I guess you could try this one to see if the tilt merits the arrester on both sides?
While you're at it, you might find the bobbin keeper I designed to be handy as well. It's designed to fit with these pegs.
Compatibility
This was designed to work with all common sizes of spool. I've tested with
Mettler 500m
Gutermann 100m
Gutermann 250m
Gutermann 500m
Gutermann 1000m
Coats & Clark 250yd
Coats & Clark 500yd
Spool core needs to be at least 6mm in diameter and the spool OD can be up to 41mm. Let me know if you need different dimensions to be accommodated and I can provide a resized version to suit.
CAD
The cad for these is on OnShape and you're welcome to use my sketch for your own Wall Control projects (just use the derive tool to import my hook sketch into your project).
Printing
Print settings shouldn't matter too much. With that said:
It wouldn't hurt to use 3 or 4 wall loops.
Orient the main part with the flat side on the bed.
Orient the tilt arrester with the larger flat bit on the bed (the small peg should face up).
