Give your drink something nice to sit on with one of these coasters, inspired by the Japanese woodworking technique of Kumiko (組子)!
There are six designs to choose from in total:
Mitsukude (三 つ 組 手) - once known as the ultimate technique - the basis of many other patterns
Asanoha (麻の葉) - symbolizes the hemp leaf - thought to bestow health and long life
Goma (胡麻) - symbolizes the sesame flower - thought to bestow perpetual youth and long life
Bishamon-Kikko (毘沙門亀甲) - named after Bishamon (one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Buddhism)
Kuruma-Kikko (車 亀 甲) - symbolizes a two-wheeled cart or other transportation
Tsumiishi-Kikko (積 石 亀 甲) - symbolizes a tortoise shell - thought to bring good fortune
With a height of just 2mm, these print easily and quickly while only using around 12 grams of filament each. They have a solid base to ensure good bed adhesion, as well as keep liquids from falling through.
