This is a system of cable management labels that I developed for use while overhauling a convoluted network system that spans multiple rooms and signals, and has been upgraded off and on over the last 40 years and left many cables retired in place.
I designed the system to be easily printable, easy to label, and able to be attached to a multitude of cable types. The label itself will fit directly on Cat6/6e cable, Cat5/5e Riser, shielded Cat 5/5e, LMR-240, RG-6, RG-8, RG-59, and power cables with roughly 1/4" nominal diameter. Bushings are included for 2mm jacket paired fiber optic cable (typically 50/125µ multimode and 9/125µ single mode OM3/4), 3mm jacket paired fiber optic cable (typically 62.5/125µ OM1), and unshielded Cat5 or similar sized cables like RG-58.
All parts should be printed in TPU or a similarly flexible material.
I recommend printing the labels face down with supports on a smooth PEI sheet with a thin layer of PVA glue to avoid bonding to the sheet. This will provide the best possible surface for writing on or applying adhesive printed labels to. The bushings should be printed vertically. Use "detect thin walls" if you want the 3mm pair bushing to be solid, I personally leave this off so that I can quickly identify them in my bag. I do them in batches of 32 labels or 64 bushings that I leave printing overnight. I've found this to be a good balance of quantity, plate spacing, print time, and minimal risk of failure to a whole batch.
Use these however suits you best, I am using them with different colors to signify cable destination space and writing the signal name on the cable. I have also designated a single color (bright pink) to quickly identify temporary traces.
