Iterations (if anyone's interested)
V1: An extremely basic phone case with simple cutouts for the buttons, and 5 holes on either side of the case, at the bottom.
Issues: Button holes were too deep, making it difficult to press | Silent switch hole was too small, causing difficulty in flipping it | Charger cutout was too small, so my giant anker charger couldn't fit through it (but apple-branded chargers could), camera lenses were unprotected since they were the tallest part of the phone + case
V2: Aesthetic holes from the bottom were spread to reach all the way till the buttons, turning into grip holes, silent switch hole was made bigger, charger cutout was made bigger, button holes turned into button mechanisms with a “case” of each button being attached to the case by 2 thin rods, protecting the buttons while eliminating the problem of the button holes, ridge added surrounding cameras to protect.
Issues: The camera bump made the entire case float, so I changed the orientation to vertical – the entire case was wobbling the entire print, and it pretty much messed everything up. However, I STILL managed to find that the charger cutout was still too small, leading to v3…
V3a: Larger charger cutout, camera bump is separate from the case, leading to orientation going back to horizontal.
Issues: Camera bump is slightly too loose, falls out easily | Buttons are a bit messy, have to fix in printer settings
V3b: Increased size of camera bump SLIGHTLY.
Issues: Nothing much, works pretty good
V4: Made buttons a bit smaller and connectors a bit thicker.
Issues: Buttons are a lot more messy
V5: Further optimized button sizing.
Issues: Nothing much, the case works pretty well.
Thank you for printing! I'd greatly appreciate if you posted a picture of your print along with feedback in the Makes & Comments section, as it would help me improve the design :)
