This decoration star is fully printable and can be fitted with LED lights. It is intended to be used with standard 6V light bulbs, running on battery power or straigt from an USB power supply. These bulbs (E10 Socket) are often found in lots of christmas lights anyway or even bicycle lamps. This star works great, also with incandencent 6V lights.

Printing:
Print all parts in the given orientation with all settings as you see fit.
The Body needs organic support, only on the bottom area. All other areas print fine with no support.
The Spikes need to be printed in vase mode. 
Note: No need for (semi) transparent material. If printed with 0.4 nozzle and in vase mode, the spikes are going to be shine through afterwards. All parts you see on the pictures are printed with standard opaque filament.

Assembly:
Use some superglue for attaching the Spikes on the Body.
For assembly of the Socket and top Spike, see pictures down below.

1)Feed some cable through the SocketSleeve and put in a little knot. This knot is very important to have as strain relief. Remove roughly 40mm insulation on every cable

2)Wind the cable around the bottom bar (in the socket) and twist it a little in order to fix it in place. Also wind some cable around the outer peg bar on the socket. 

3) Fix all in place with some drops of superglue. Prepare to attach the Socket to the SocketSleeve

4) Make sure that the smal outer pegs on the Socket align with two outer faces on the SocketSleeve (see picture on the right)

5) Done :)

Although this star is intended to be used with 6V bulbs, it can be powered directly from an USB charger
