History of L&K (Škoda)

Škoda Auto was founded in 1895 by Václav Laurin and Václav Klement. These names gave rise to the company's former name, Laurin&Klement. Today, this name is used for the highest available equipment level for a particular car model. In 1925, Škoda Works in Pilsen bought Laurin&Klement, and the name of the cars produced was changed to Škoda.
