Descrição
I have been helping my mother after she had a knee replacement surgery. She is using a walker to get around for the time being, so I made these walker clips and attachments to help her. She definitely feels more independent being able to carry around items for herself.
Files included:
- Walker clip base_v4_export.stl - One of these is necessary for each attachment. The holes all have a 3mm radius. The arms flex to allow one to firmly push the clip onto the walker frame before adding a bolt to secure it. The walker I used to fit had a 1” diameter tube frame, so I used a 28mm hole to allow for more movement before tightening. Since the arms flex, the nut to secure the bolt can be tighten as much as one sees fit. I used 30mm M5 bolts and nuts I had on hand. These worked great for me.
- Attachment - clip_v3_export.stl - She used this most often to carry around her reusable water bottle and a shoehorn.
- Attachment - gait belt_v3_export.stl - Early on after surgery, she was using a gait belt to raise her leg (example: when she needed to get into a car.)
- Attachment - caddy_v1_export.stl - She was pretty creative and had a variety of uses for this. From carrying remotes, to bring small objects from room to room, to using in as a temporary holder for wrappers before going to the trash bin.
- Attachment - base blank_export.stl - This is the base I used for the attachments with a blank profile. One can just add the attachments needed, if not using the attached FreeCad file.
- I have also included the FreeCad file I used to make these.

Printing notes:
With the simplistic nature of the designs, printing is very easy. I have printed these parts using the default profiles in both PETG and PLA. Some were printed at 0.30mm layer height using a 0.40mm nozzle and some at 0.55mm layer height using a 0.80mm nozzle. I only needed supports for the attachment part of the caddy.
