A simple spindle for yarn that does not require bearings. and uses very minimal supports. 

The spindle part is kind of thick, but I mainly use it with yarn cones. That being said, I have stabbed skeins, balls, and cakes on it before and it worked just fine.

Layer Height - 0.2mm
Line Width - default (0.42)
Walls - 3
Top/Bottom - 3
Infill - What you like best really*
Supports - Yes

*I used 15% Gyroid. 
Suggestion: At approx. layer 142 (28.4mm high) to 156 (31.2 mm high) on the base, use 50% infill. This is probably the weakest point. I've only had it break there once and it was my fault. I just glued it back together and it has worked great since.

EDIT Feb 2, 2026: Adding a version 2 with a thicker spindle point/contact/spike(?) so it's less breakable. This version should not require supports.
