I wanted to make a little thank you gift for a friend who's a carpenter, and I tried to avoid looking too much at what already existed. Something to keep on your keyring or attached to your bicycle. Whether the result is good or not, I'll leave it to you !
I put three bits next to each other and took the dimensions, gave them a little room to breathe and built the shape of the screwdriver around the storage compartment. Turns out the resulting shape is quite ergonomic and prints nicely.
Included a little hole to that air can escape when a bit is inserted through the holder.
The main part should be printed upside down and with a brim (i recommend 8mm) and the cap needs support.
Sliced file comes with the small tolerance cap as I print on a MK4 and after a couple of twists it's snug yet sturdy.
I recommend printing with 3 or 4 perimeters to make it long lasting.
I'd be happy to read any thoughts about this design.
