When I thought I'm done with planetary gear ideas, another one pops up… This time: square profile for the planetary gears (and matching profiles for sun and ring). I found it looks quite interesting, so I posted it.

Printing: I used a 0.4mm nozzle with 0.17mm layer height (0.2 is probably fine) and random seams (to avoid having them blobbed together.

It might be necessary to use a screw driver with a hex tool bit to break it loose; I also used a power tool to break it in. It runs quite smooth now, though it doesn't handle axial load well (i.e. pushing the sun or ring gear along the axis).
