Description
After looking for a insert press model i decided to design my own and simplify it. The press uses 3mm bungee cord as the “spring” fixed at the base rear threaded over a pully and down to the head. The Iron attachment bolts to the head, this is so one can design their own head to suit what Iron they are using. the removable base plate is so that you can add your own design for different applications like a 45 deg part support plate and other adaptors. the holder included is for a AOBOPLE brand soldering iron from Amazon, no clamp needed.
Printed in QIDI ABS Rapido on a QIDI X Max 3
Parts needed are;
8 X M4 threaded inserts ( length to be shorter than 5mm)
4 X M4 X 12 countersunk screws
4 X M4 X 8 countersunk screws
1 X 3 X 20mm pin ( Bungee cord fixing point bottom rear)
1 X M4 X 20 slotted split pin ( Pully shaft)
I have included the .STP and .IPT Inventor files for any modifications you might want to make.
