This is a generic ceiling lamp cover box designed for E27 sockets. I first made it for my moon lamp, but it works great with any standard E27 bulb or fixture.

The design consists of five parts:

Two halves of the ceiling box – these form the main cover and are held together with slide hinges so you can mount them around an existing lamp without having to uninstall or rewire the socket.

Mounting plate – this is the part you screw into the ceiling. The assembled box simply twists onto the plate and locks in place.

Two socket covers – these are split pieces that slide together to neatly hide the E27 socket itself, giving the lamp a much cleaner finish.

Together, these parts make it very easy to upgrade or clean up the look of an already installed lamp. The slide-hinge split design means you don’t have to struggle with rewiring—just mount the plate, slide the halves around the socket, and clip everything into place.

PLA worked well for my use, but you can also print in PETG for heat resistance.
