Descrição

My first experiment into 3D printed lighting and practice with basic electronics. All pieces are printed in white and grey PLA, and a laser cutter was used to construct the outer body. A soldering iron, and other basic tools will be required. You may also create custom diffusers with the Diffuser Base file.

Assembly Instructions

  • Laser cut all pieces

  • Glue 8 laser cut slices in order: Top > 2x Fill > Reference > 4x Fill

  • Cut 3 screws to length and screw through the Dynamic Interface Ring to the outer shell

  • Fill the Static Base with concrete (or another heavy filler such as sand) and glue the Static Concrete Cover on

  • Use 6 screws to attatch the Static Bottom Ring to the base assembly

  • [optional] If you want the bottom halo light, add the low profile LED strip and solder 3 wires

  • De-solder the wire from the LED puck and route through the hole in the base

  • Solder new leads through the centre hole of the LED puck, and screw the puck to the Dynamic Diffuser Interface with the included screws

  • Connect all positive wires, and the negatives through the switch which is then mounted into the Static Top Ring

  • Screw the Static Top Ring to the base assembly through the Dynamic Interface Ring

  • Use the final three screws to attatch the Dynamic Diffuser Interface to the Dynamic Interface Ring and into the outer shell, making sure to align the switch to the Dynamic Diffuser Interface's index circle, allowing the lamp to be turned on with a small twist

  • Glue the cork base into the bottom cutout of the base

  • Screw in the diffuser

  • Static Base V2 and Concrete Cover V2 can be used if you dont intend to use the LED strip

  • Added an extra diffuser option
