Descrição
Almost every Saturday night, we get together with friends to play cards. To make it more fun, I introduced a trophy for the evening’s winner. Each week, the trophy returns to the table, ready to be claimed by the next champion.
I printed all the parts in PLA using a 0.4 mm nozzle with a 0.15 mm layer height.
The part “card-stack.stl” is designed to hold all the card faces and attaches securely to the base with two M3-10 screws for durability, since it will be passed around frequently.
The card faces are designed with the ‘A’ and suit symbols raised, allowing for simple color changes on a basic printer. Once printed, they are glued into the card-stack component.
The base is designed with internal cavities in the base, which I filled with lead shot to give the trophy extra weight and prevent it from toppling easily. It also includes two cavities for magnets that hold the faceplate in place.
The plaque is designed with a raised border and text to allow simple color changes on a basic printer. A shallow cavity in the back holds a small metal disk (25mm Dia x 0.62mm thick), which lets the plaque attach securely to the magnets embedded in the base. This requires a pause at the appropriate layer to drop the disk in, effectively encapsulating it within the part. A blank plaque is also included for customization, or you can design your own.
