Lightning photographers hear me out. I think the Strike Finder 2.0 is one of the best lightning triggers out there. It's simple, accurate and fast. The only drawback is the ease at which the on/off switch can be activated when bumped around in your camera bag. My last $5 9v battery got me thinking....hmmmm, if they only included some kind of cover that would keep the switch from getting bumped. A few iterations in OnShape and voila! I give to you the Strike Finder 2 Switch Protector Cover.

The design is pretty simple and can be printed a variety of ways. I'll include print settings below. I chose not to completely guard the switch so you can actually use the Strike Finder while the cover is installed and you can verify that it's off. The switch is pretty well protected and you'd have to be awfully specific about turning it on.

Here are the print settings, but they are not critical. I made several versions and they were all similar.

Filament - I used PLA assume PETG would work although I'm not sure how flexible it would be.
Layer Height - 0.2, first layer - 0.14
Line Width - 0.4, first layer 0.44
Wall Loops - 4
Top Surface Pattern - Monotonic
Top Shell Layers - 3
Bottom Shell Layers - 3
Sparse Infill Density - 10%
Sparse infill Pattern - Cubic
Orientation - see photo - it sits on its side with its 4 "legs" stuck up in the air although you can experiment with this.
Support - I got best results with printing it in this orientation with a grid support to support the shelf that clamps onto the side of the trigger. I could have angled it but it wouldn't have grabbed as firmly. For those of you who HATE supports, you can try other orientations. Let me know what worked for you.
