Description

This is a fully 3D-printed spring latch mechanism that locks and releases a sliding part (the "slider") using a printed spring and a clever hook system. When you pull the spring-loaded hook, the mechanism unlocks, and the slider can move freely. Once inserted again, the hook reengages, holding it in place.

It's a simple but satisfying mechanical design, perfect as a desk toy, a mechanical demo, or even a basic quick-release lock.

✨Tips

Just a few drops of glue are needed to close the rear cover, and I recommend using a bit of vaseline (or lip balm, as I did!) on the sliding contact points to ensure smooth movement.
