This is my Quick-Release Backpack-Mount for my Camera.
I used this for several Hikes now and it works suprisingly well. You just slide in the camera from the side until you hear the satisfying Click and then it is secured. To take it out, just press the lever with your thumb and pull it sideways.
I printed it in PETG since PLA sometimes gets brittle from UV-Exposure. I also used a quick-connect camera-strap to have a safety-tie to my Backpack, nothing failed tho. However, I take no responsibility if something fails.
Print the Lever in a flat orientation, since it take the sideways-load.
It is designed for my Sony Alpha A6100 L-Bracket but should fit almost all ArcaSwiss Quick-Release plates, although there might be modifications needed.
If you wish to modify it, here is the Onshape-Link:
Additional Hardware Required:
- 2x M4x14 Bolts to screw it to its base. Can be longer or shorter, depending on how thick you print the base. I Secured it with Nuts on the back. The heads should not be larger than 8.5mm to sink in, otherwise you need to enlarge the contersink.
- 1x M4x10 Bolt to hold back the lever. This bolt is only there to keep the lever in when the camera is not in the holder. It does not hold the Camera itself.
- 1x M5x15 Bold (can be a bit longer) to screw the Lever to the base. It just screws into the plastic.
- 1 Spring from a pen to push the lever upwards. Test around a bit to find one that is fitting.
