Descrição
This is a stand for an inflatable globe with a diameter of 85cm like it can be found here:
It is designed to only require four M12x45 Allen screws to attach the base to the beam.
Total height is around 1m
When printing the base i stopped it every now and then to fill the print with sand, to have it not tip over. This worked quite well (Despite a badly tuned printer at the time). I just can't confirm the connectors for the base to work, as i wasn't able to get them to work.
The M12 thread in the beam is modeled but has to be cut with a tap to be able to fit the screw.
The source FreeCAD files are provided if you want to make some modifications. It should be possible to adjust the diameter of the globe and have the whole model adjust, but i can't guarantee it to work.
the exported model files can be either found as STL or STEP in the corresponding .zip file. The naming is done in German, where “Sockel” means base, “Splint” means the connecting pins and “Bogen” means beam/bow.
The beam is divided into 7 parts. For the STL files the names for the connecting pins for the beam is “Innen” = inside (towards globe) “Aussen” = outside (outer most pin compared to globe) “Mitte” = middle, so “Mitte-Innen” = middle inside (second one from inside) and so on.
WATCH OUT!!!
The pins for the beam are not the same. They will only fit in one spot
