I bought a baby/safety gate from a consignment sale for my basement stairwell and it didn't come with the mounting cups. Even if it did, I wouldn't have felt satisfied with a single screw mount to affix to a wall with an injection molded cup that barely seats the friction foot. 

The brackets give a more rigid mounting brace for those babies and toddlers that like to grab hold of a gate and rage against the bars as if they were wrongfully detained from the danger beyond. the bracket surrounds the gate foot and the bolt it is attached to. 

The brackets have countersinks for #12 screws. The slots are top to bottom, 45mm long, 8.6mm wide. The narrow slot is 16mm wide. 

To maximize strength for typical loading conditions, print multiple walls/perimeters beyond 2. Print with the slot vertical in the Z axis as seen in the picture.

Uploaded are the v0 and v3 brackets, the difference being the size and number of edge rounds. The test slice file is a partial model to verify the bracket fits your use case. 

There is a reinforced design that removes some placement flexibility in exchange for more material in the bracket and fixing the final height position. You can find the model here:
