Descrição
This started as an idea that one of the women at the local hackerspace had.
She wanted to have shoulder-buttons with port and starboard lighting.
With that idea i made this Ø32 mm coat button, which i plan to sell on etsy.
Hence the CC BY-NC-ND license.
However to test i made a Ø25 version for my own jacket as it happened to miss 2 buttons.
After about a week i found out that the leds needed some strain relief, therefor i designed a backing plate, which the led legs goes through and into 2 small grooves, where the 2 wires are then soldered onto the led in a recess near the edge.
The wires themselves are also strain relieved by going between the fabric and backing and then through it.
I tested the backing and it could succesfully hold +2kg for more than 2 hours, where the led still worked afterwards.
There are 2 versions of each button, one that just sits over the led (not yet tested) and one that should be pressurefit, though i had to drill the buttons with a 5mm drill to get perfect fit, followed by gluing the led in place with CA glue.
They are designed to fit these leds, but may fit others

They are designed to be printed on an SLA printer, so dont expect it to work on an fdm based printer.
I printed mine on an anycubic photon mono, using Lafvin Transparent resin.
