Descripción
Here is an Easter Cross made in Blender using cloth physics for realism.
For best results printing the cloth: print “normal speed" and use organic supports with 40 degree overhang threshold and support on build plate only. Ensure a brim around the entire support structure.
Color Choices:
Of course, feel free to print the cloth in your favorite color, but here's a quick description of the three different colors: The renders show a purple cloth which is draped over the cross during Lent and the days leading up to Good Friday. A black cloth is draped on Good Friday and Holy Saturday representing the Crucifixion. Finally, a white cloth is draped on Easter Sunday representing Easter and the Resurrection.
Printing Instructions (Slow!):
Don't print this one at fast speeds as the two halves of the cloth can separate before they are joined mid-print! I recommend PLA with 0.2mm layer height, 10% infill, 3 walls, and supports and brim for the cloth. Print as oriented for best results. I found printing the cloth upright works best, but printing it upside down may also work if the print is struggling. Scale the parts up as much as you like (I've test fitted up to 180%), but be sure to add plenty of supports the bigger you get!

Happy Easter and Happy Printing!
