Description
FDMecha Hex Terrain is a tabletop terrain system for hex-grid sci-fi mech gaming, made to play well and look great right off the printer. Tiles are designed in a "mid-poly" style that works at a variety of scales, reads clearly for players and allows easy color variation with multi-material systems or simple layer swaps. Base plates and risers clip together using OpenLOCK clips for stability and for construction of large raised sections or bridged terrain.
The Basic Core Set includes:
- 13 textured surface tiles, 2 rock tiles, 2 plant tiles
- 4 heights of frame riser (H1-H4, each H-unit of height = 20mm)
- Base plates in 8 sizes (1x1-1x4, 2x2 flower, 3x3 flower, 4x4, 5x4)
For more variant tiles, combination tiles, and additional structural pieces, check out the Extended Core Set.
And if you need something to help organize your tiles, check out these terrain storage trays.
Print Info:
Provided your printer has decent bridging ability and bed levelling, all pieces should print just fine without support or additional adhesion. Tiles and risers in the example photos are printed in basic and matte PLA; base frames are printed in either PLA or PET-G.
