We had a member of our pool league join our team and he is in a wheelchair but because of the height of the chair he was unable to reach very far with his cue. We all brainstormed ideas to make a bridge for him that could be lifted up after shooting and with flexible options by putting it on it's side. I did the final design and iterations of testing and printing. This is version 6 of the designs I made.
I did this one in PC filament, 50% infill, gyroid pattern, rather slow 50ish mm/s max. PLA works fine as well, just may not last as long and if you are in a wamer climate, may sag.
There are pause points to insert a bearing and to fill the legs with weights, I used some lead fishing weights and cut them as needed, then poured in some candle wax, how you do this isn't critical, but some extra weight seems to be beneficial. I use a short m8 bolt to attach the parts, friction fit.
EDIT:
Added bridge2 and bridgecap files, for avoiding the second pause and just inserting the lead in afterword. Just glue the cap on. Also added the Freecad file.
