The Claribugle
The inspiration for this comes from the booklet “Daily Practice For Clarinet” by John Theine. I'll leave an exerpt below on how to utilise it best.
Theine recommends closing the bell with your leg, but this leads to an awkward playing position. By utilising The Claribugle you can do this excersise standing up or sitting more comfortably.
Bugle Exercises
This helps develop flexibility in the embouchure similarly to the sirens, but is more concrete in
pitch. Using a tuner is a good idea to help lock into pitch. In order to bugle on a clarinet, you
need to:
- Use the Claribugle
- Finger a low E
- Blow (hard)...you are after a high pitch...if a muffled B or nothing comes out, you aren’t blowing hard enough.
In order to change pitch, experiment with lifting your tongue and dropping your chin while
maintaining your air speed. Your should be able to get several note out. Bugle patterns are
listed below for several standard bugle songs. (The actual notes you play may be different, but
the patterns are listed here). Pick one a day (or more) and play through them.

Printing
This is modeled after a Buffet RC Prestige, and the bell tenon diameter is set to 26.7mm
You might have to adjust the X-Y hole compensasion in your slicer to get a good fit.
Otherwise, it should print fine with no supports and no brim/skirt.
