The original model was already pretty good, but I wanted the same style of drawer for everything, whether I want to use it with or without bins. Also I absolutely wanted a pull-out-protection. I also wanted labels, so I added slots for ca. 55x22 mm normal paper labels with 50x20 mm open label area.
Maximum Gridfinity bin height: 6 units
The 4x5 shell is not exactly double the width of the 2x4 shell, so you cannot stack 2x5 and 4x5 shells on top of one another properly.
I used to use eSun modified PLA and the 0.25 Speed preset on my Prusa MK4S printer. Now I use Sunlu PETG to great success. I printed the connector caps in FLEX (TPU V2) to get an easy and tight fit. I used one cap in the front and one in the back per rail.
Edit 2025-01-15: Made center pull-out-protection on the 4x5 shell shallower, to allow more clearance to the bins/contents.
