About

This project consists of 3 separate internal parts and a 2-part enclosure. Each such set creates a module, equivalent to one binary digit, which can be connected together, forming a number with a length of your choice. Additionally, a knob is required to be added to the final assembly to drive it. Each turn of a knob increases or decreases displayed value by one. More enchantments are coming soon.

Printing configuration

PETG or PLA are recommended materials. Use 0.2 mm layer height profile.

Adjusted settings for inner parts: 3 perimeters, 20% infill, organic supports with 70° maximum branch angle, for the best result usage of soluble supports and custom painting of them (on the bottom faces) is required.

Assembly instructions

Put internal parts into their respective grooves in the bigger part of an enclosure, achieving following layout:

In order to connect with the other module, simply push them together, making its outside gear (blue in the picture) go through the hole (beside yellow gear) of another assembly like below. During this connection make sure both Geneva drives (circled in red) stay in sync i.e. the same position:

Add the knob to the least significant digit i.e. the one with a hole beside a gear, just by pushing the knob (orange) into it:

Put lids (smaller parts of enclosure) on top of them and view windows with digits from the side.
