Overview

This is a collection of V-profile wall hooks compatible with 3M Command Strips. Hooks are included for the 3 common foam backed Command Strip sizes: small, medium, and large. 3 hook gap sizes are included for each strip size: 7mm, 10mm, and 13mm.

Hook gap refers to the size of the opening between the interior of the hook tip and the front of the baseplate. The V-profile of the hook is 45 degrees. 

Slicing and Printing

The most important slicing detail is to position the back of the hook down on the print bed to ensure a smooth surface for command strip adhesion. No supports required. Default slicer settings should suffice, but tested using: 0.2mm layer height, 3 horizontal walls, 15% gyroid infill.

Consider using a smaller layer height if using large hooks that will be visible to reduce the stair stepping effect on the sloped hook face.

Any sturdy filament should work fine. Tested using Prusament PLA with a standard temperature profile on 0.2mm layer height on a Prusa Mk4.

Mounting

Follow typical guidance for installing Command Strip hooks. Adhere the hook-side of the command strip to the back of the hook first. Next, adhere the wall-side of the command strip to the wall, and press firmly for 30 seconds. Wait overnight prior to hanging load on the hook to ensure good wall adhesion.
