Completely parametric, number and size of compartments as well as the wall thicknesses can be configured in the SCAD file.

Friction fit top with configurable tolerance for achieving suitable fit.

Last but not least, the top has matching grooves for the walls of the bottom part to prevent even the smallest parts migrating between the compartments.

INSTRUCTIONS

The STL file includes a 2x2 example box with 20x20x20 mm compartments. On my setup, both the outer and inner walls are two printer tracks wide with no infill. A 0.4mm fit tolerance required minor cleaning of corners and top grooves to create a box that operates smoothly and stays securely closed.

For customization, it is recommended to edit the SCAD file to adjust the box dimensions or use it as a library. You should also tailor the wall thickness to match what your printer produces best.

Future Development Ideas:
- Rounded corners, including internal corners, to make retrieving small parts easier.
- Hinges and a closing mechanism.
- A stacking system.
- A handle for the bottom part to enable using smaller sections as drawers in a larger unit, creating a mini-cupboard.
- A way to omit certain internal walls for boxes with both small and large compartments.
