Descrição
A poster frame mount designed around a 12"x18" with 1" profile poster frame , that I designed to be mounted on a cabinet door. The mount is a two pieces, the bottom piece mounts to the surface with woodscrews and has extruded cylinders with female threads and the top piece goes over the poster frame and has clearance holes for the extruded cylinders and for the woodscrews.
Installation:
- Install lower piece onto desired surface ensuring its square against the poster frame. Ensuring all other corners are also square with poster frame.
Note: Since my poster frame was mounted on a cabinet door, I clamped the poster frame to the door while the door was opened and proceeded from there. I would recommend also ensuring that the poster frame is also level. I didn't have a level tool I so proceeded without and my poster frame is slightly off as a result.
- Install the top piece of the poster frame and the lower piece.
Note: Take caution while installing this piece as the extruded cylinder passes through the clearance holes of the top piece to not exert force on the sidewalls of the cylinder. I printed these pieces vertically to reduce eliminate supports, therefore the force that could be exerted on the sidewall of the cylinder is along the layer lines. I did not experiment with any other orientations.
- Screw in printed screws until its flush with the surface, be careful no to over torque them and risk damaging the face of the screw. Screw can be tightened with a 3/16 flathead screwdriver.
Note: The screw being flush was intentional but the screw being partially hidden with addition of the texture of the build plate was not. Would like to see how it the part differs on non-textured build plate but I currently do not have one.
I printed this on my Bambu p1s, sliced on BambuStudio, with the 0.4 nozzle with the 0.16 optimal settings with the only differences is gyroid infill and 4 wall loops. This was printed on PETG.
When slicing you will need 4 instances of the the frame mount and 12 instances of the screw. The top and lower piece of the frame mount are within the same file, you just have to ensure the slicer doesn't recognize the assembly as a single part.
I have provided the .f3d fusion files if you wish to modify it to your needs or build upon it.
This mount was designed around the 1" Profile Poster Frame Black by Room Essentials sold by target.
The print in the poster frame is from remontantpress.
