Having too many AC adapters and USB cables, I created a simple tag to be cliped on cables of various diameters. The tag centerline is intentionally designed thinner to allow for easier clipping on a wire. You can write directly on the plain part, use a sticker or emboss your text directly in the model.

Parametric model is available in SCAD file, with a few example STLs. You can modify width and height of the label part, wire diameter, as well as the wall thickness.

Tested using PETG, 0,2mm layer, without brim or supports.
