What better way to stave off the darkness than with a lamp constructed of 8 nuggets and one torch?

I wanted a Minecraft lantern that I could be proud of dangit! A lot of the models I saw on here were flawed in some way (in my opinion) and didn't feel like they were getting at what the simplistic art style of the game was representing. So naturally I made my own version. With it's own flaws.

Printing instructions:

• The included .3mf file has user presets to make printing the parts a bit less painful to fiddle with (though some fiddling may still be required).
• Print with tree supports for the lid and base, making sure that the small overhangs get supported. You'll get some funky tree supports, but it works.
• The print was designed with single extruder filament swaps in mind, if you so choose to not print in one solid color.
• For the windows, you'll print 4. I changed my first layer to be 0.1mm with layer heights of .08mm, though if you want the windows to show the original texture's pattern more, you can make the Z-height 1.25/1.5 times higher and that should do it with the same settings.

Assembly Instructions:

• This model uses M3 screws (up to 4 x 12mm) and heat set inserts (up to 8) to combine the lid and base if you choose to be able to carry it around.
• Put at least 2 heat set inserts in opposite corners of both the lid and base, or in all four corners if you'd like it to be sturdier.
• Insert the M3 screws in slightly from the bottom enough so that they emerge slightly from the top for alignment.
• Thread the Bambu lamp's cord through the base and place the light. I didn't make it a snug fit because I hate trying to pry out the lamp from my previous builds. A few small, thin printed squares could probably wedge it in there better if you're concerned.
• Slide all 4 windows into their slots. I recommend having the elevated side outwards so that the texture is still readable when the light is off.
• Align the lid to the top, and finish screwing in all four M3 screws using a long screwdriver using the holes in the bottom of the lantern where they should couple with the heat set inserts you put in earlier.
