Descrição
Gridfinity is a great organization system with customizable bases and parts holders for any conceivable thing. I think the overriding principle is to have your parts and tools at the ready, not to store as much stuff as you can.
Here I used the drawings by Grizzie17 to re-create two of the basic building blocks of the system in Alibre Design. Since Printables does not (yet) recognize the .AD_PRT files as CAD they are zipped up and uploaded as individuals.
Inside the Alibre files you will find parameters to set up your customization.
At minimum, set the parameters “rows”, “cols”, and “h” for the number of rows and columns. Use he parameter “h” to set the number of units high to print the bin.
Then save as a new part with a new name to use it later.
There are also some 3D printer specific parameters to make the parts come out a little better. For example, you can specify the nozzle diameter you're using and the line width from your slicer to make sure the walls come out as even multiples. You don't have to know what any of these do right away! But they're there to experiment with if you do.
