Light quality (a relaxing color temperature and high color rendering) is very important for my mood and well-being. This project turns a flashlight and a cheap (USD $1) paper lantern into a beautiful room light that is easy to travel with.

The parts comprise a diffuser tube which friction-fits on a flashlight, has a hat on top to prop the top of the paper lantern open, and has a spacer collar on the bottom with notches which hook onto the wire hoops that most paper lanterns have. All the parts other than the diffuser tube are flat for easy packing.

Aside from the printed parts, you need a 6" round paper lantern (buy from Amazon, PaperLanternStore, or your local craft or party supply store) and a flashlight with a cylindrical head with no lip (in my case, a Lumintop FW3A).

The included G-Code is for Prusament PETG on an Original Prusa MINI with a 0.15mm layer height. A brim is recommended for the spacer collar because of its notches. Printing the diffuser tube separately may reduce stringing if your PETG isn't perfectly dry.
